Central Location Near UCSF and Golden Gate Park: Ashbury Heights is below Twin Peaks and borders Cole Valley with its coffee shops and restaurants just 3 blocks away. It's an easy walk from our house to UCSF (7 blocks) and Golden Gate Park (4 blocks). The famous Haight Street is 3 blocks downhill -- a definite must for first time visitors to San Francisco. Ben & Jerry's is on the corner of Haight and Ashbury across from The Gap. Funky, fun shops all up and down Haight and Amoeba Records -- arguably the best music store in the west -- at Haight and Shrader.
